In 2nd grade, we continue to use the E,S,I grading scale. My goal is for my students to earn 80% or higher on all work. 


E = excellent
S = satisfactory
I = improvement needed

100% - 94%      E
  93% - 90%      E-
  89% - 85%      S+
  84% - 78%      S
  77% - 70%      S-
  69% & lower    I


If your student is in a Reading Mastery class for reading, the grading scale is slightly different. Students can not earn Es in Reading Mastery because the curriculum is below a 2nd grade level. The goal in Reading Mastery is for students to achieve 90% or higher on all work.
