Birthdays and Class Parties
*Please note that our class has 23 students. Treats are welcome for birthdays and parties, but there must be enough for everyone.*
A birthday is a special day! We love to celebrate birthdays in this classroom, and keeping a few things in mind makes birthdays fun for all:
We will have a class party for Halloween, Christmas, Valentine’s Day, and the end of the school year. The second grade teachers ask that each child bring in five dollars to help purchase party snacks for the year.
A birthday is a special day! We love to celebrate birthdays in this classroom, and keeping a few things in mind makes birthdays fun for all:
- Treats are welcome, but they are NOT REQUIRED. If you would like to send a treat, it must be store bought. Non-food treats are also fun!
- If your child is having a birthday party, please avoid handing out invitations at school. If invitations must be passed out at school, have your child give them to me. I can pass them out discretely to minimize hurt feelings.
- If your child’s birthday falls on a weekend, I will let you know what day we will celebrate in class.
- We will celebrate half birthdays for children with summer birthdays. I will notify you when the celebration day is near.
